This concert was a heartfelt tribute to our planet and to the many voices – both ancient and contemporary – that call upon us to listen more carefully to the Earth and to one another

Thank you so much for your warm response to our wonderful Christmas Concert. It was an evening of Christmas stories told in song with gentle tones as well as rousing melodies.

2023-2024 Concerts

Our beautiful concert featuring a work by American composer Morten Lauridsen, Canadian maestro Stephen Chatman, and the timeless beauty of Palestrina’s creations was a pleasure to present.

This concert promised to captivate and inspire and did not disappoint.

“Where words fail, music speaks”.

Coro Vivo Ottawa was pleased to present “A Jazzy Christmas” featuring A Little Jazz Mass by Bob Chilcott alongside other seasonal favourites with piano and a jazz ensemble accompaniment. We hosted our guests from the Chinese Canadian Children’s Choir of Canada who performed with us and some pieces of their own. Our first concert celebrating our 40th year of singing! We were so glad to see you there!

 2022-2023 Concerts

Led by artistic director Antonio Llaca and accompanist Louise Léveillé, the choir  rehearsed for months to deliver a truly spectacular performance. The audience was moved by the power and beauty of the human voice and was taken on a musical journey through the best of Broadway.

“It was a fabulous concert – terrific singing, a lovely combination of song choices and gathering with friends. The highlight … was the choir’s encore presentation!”

“I loved the whole concert.”

2021-2022 Concerts

Our Spring Concert featured a commissioned work by the wonderful composer Andrew Balfour. Andrew is of Cree descent and is an innovative composer/conductor/singer/sound designer with a large body of choral, instrumental, electro-acoustic and orchestral works.

We complemented this work with other pieces designed to evoke images of all the earth’s elements.

We performed a traditional Christmas concert to welcome our wonderful followers back. Our audience enjoyed all of their favourites and then some!
